His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, on Wednesday presented felicitation certificate to Dr. Sunita Vaidya, Lab Director of ASTER Diagnostic Centre (Medinova) in Dubai, at a function organized by Dubai Health Authority (DHA) held at Rashid Medical Library auditorium, within Rashid Hospital premises in Dubai.

This appreciation award was presented to ASTER Diagnostic Centre (Medinova) for obtaining Joint Commission International (JCI), in line with the DHA’s strategies to ensure global standard patient safety for the residents living in the Emirate.

Mr. Manish Jain, Manager of Operations and Fathima Nilopher, Assistant Manager of Laboratory Section at DM Healthcare were also present during the ceremony.

Dr. Sunita Vaidya said, “ASTER Diagnostic Centre (Medinova) was first accredited by JCI on 18 June in 2008. The centre got re-accredited on 28 July in 2011.”

“The diagnostic centre, under the region leading healthcare conglomerates DM Healthcare, is the first medical diagnostic laboratory in the Middle East to be internationally accredited by JCI,” she added.
